The spooky season may have officially come and gone but since this is 2020 we think it’s appropriate to get spirited (and not just the cocktail kind) whenever you want.

Enter Travel Channel’s anthology series Shock Docs. The series covers some of our favorite nightmare fuel: the terrifying Amityville Horror House, world-famous paranormal investigators Ed & Lorraine Warren, the real-life events that inspired The Exorcist (see below), and a deep dive into the macabre origins of Halloween.

Our first project for the series was creating the show package. Inspired by the gritty imperfections of old 16mm film we created the show open, bumps, and other show specific graphics.

Next we produced the promo graphics package which we delivered as a toolkit so TRVL could produce spots in-house using the same graphic language as the show package.

We also created 14 unique bumpers for the final episode in the series, “This Is Halloween.” Each :08 bumper names an essential Halloween topic, such has Horror Movies, Spirits, and Costumes, alongside animated graphic silhouettes.
