HISTORY | AMERICAN RIPPER
If you haven’t heard of H.H. Holmes don’t google him: he was a savage serial killer who may have killed up to 200 victims. But maybe you have heard of a building constructed in the late 1800s that was seemingly designed to entrap, torture, and eventually kill many people who entered.
That building was H.H. Holmes’ Murder Castle.
We set out to explore the Murder Castle in this teaser for History’s series profiling Holmes. By re-creating the layout of the building in 3D we were able to move through its many floors and rooms while highlighting some of the deadly features Holmes installed to carry out his heinous crimes. The result is a creepy fly-through of a house of many horrors supported by sinister sound design.
