NBC SPORTS | MLS – MAJOR LEAGUE SOCCER
After a merger which saw the Versus network evolve first into NBC Sports Network then to NBCSN, the network needed to establish a strong presence to showcase its premier sports properties, including MLS.
We were called on to create the graphics package for all broadcast MLS games. Inspired by the network’s pillars of authenticity, we set out to capture the experience and excitement of a live soccer match. The robust graphics toolkit was later adapted for playoffs, US Soccer, and the MLS Cup.
We created a detailed 3D stadium filled with tens of thousands of CG fans, some waving team flags. Sideboards were customized with the network logo, which is also seen on large monitors above the crowds.
